A No-Fee School
Tlhako Secondary School is officially classified as a
Quintile 2 school. In accordance with the South African Department of Basic
Education’s policies, we are a no-fee school.
This means that our learners are exempt from paying compulsory
school fees, ensuring that quality education remains accessible to all members of our
community regardless of their financial background.
What This Means for Parents
- No compulsory tuition fees are charged.
- Basic teaching and learning materials are provided through
government funding. - Admissions are based
on merit and policy, not financial standing.
Support & Contributions
While we do not charge compulsory fees, the school still relies
on various forms of support to enhance our facilities and offer extra-mural programs.
Voluntary Support
Parents and community
members who wish to contribute toward specific school projects or sports equipment are
welcome to do so. All voluntary contributions are used directly for the benefit of the
learners.
Special Note
Certain optional
activities, such as school excursions or specialized sports kits, may require a separate
contribution. Parents will always be notified well in advance of such requirements.
Financial Assistance
We believe every child deserves an education. If you are
experiencing financial difficulties, please contact our administrative office to discuss exemption
applications or payment plans.
